Let’s Play Ball !!!

Please read this letter carefully and send in the registration form, Cheque and proof of age (if required) immediately in order to reserve your place for the upcoming season. Players are placed in the divisions as set out in the Constitution unless noted on the registration form. If you need to be placed with someone else, make sure that you write this on the registration form.

We accept Cheques, Money Orders and Cash. Please call (905) 984-5434 if other arrangements must be made.

Last Year’s Players - (Learn to Play - Midget)

Deadline for last years players to assure them a spot on a team is March 31, 2011. This date will be used for the team

placement following the guidelines set down in the Constitution, as well as deciding when a particular division is full. After

March 31st, it becomes first come, first serve with any registrations. For Registration Packages or extra forms, please call Pam

Deichert at (905)984-5434.

New Players - (Learn to Play - Midget)

Registration forms may be returned at any time, but will not be dated before March 31st, as last year’s players have this time

to register first. A copy of proof of age must accompany any registration along with a proper registration form. If you do not

have a form, please call the Registrar and ask for one. Please do not mail information otherwise. For Registration Packages

Ladies Division - (19 & older as of January 1, 2009)

Register immediately! Ladies are placed on teams as follows. Last years players must register by March 31^st. New players

will be placed on teams after that date as requested or in order to fill teams. Ladies are automatically placed on last years’

team unless requested otherwise. Any changes from team to team, followed by those on leave of absence, are added before

new players, as long as they are registered by March 31^st . If registration dictates, teams are amalgamated on March 31^st .

Any players wishing to form a new team must be registered by March 31^st ^h, and have advised the Registrar of their request by

this date. For registration packages or extra forms please call Pam Deichert at (905) 984-5434.

Any conflicts will be decided by the received date stamped on the player’s registration card. Avoid disappointment and

register early! Only One Registration per card.

Coaches

We need about 100 volunteers to fill coaching positions with our teams. All coaches applying for the 2011 season may

require a Police Clearance. The league has training manuals and videos to assist coaches. There will be a clinic held

and all coaches will be contacted. Call Pam Deichert at (905) 984-5434. All you need is enthusiasm, patience and

commitment, the rewards are many.

Umpires

We need umpires. We offer $25.00 for the plate and $20.00 for the bases per game per umpire. The league supplies all the

equipment. Applications for umpires are enclosed. Or can be downloaded on line at www.softballstcatharines.com

There will be a mandatory clinic, contact Tom Tuckwell at 905-938-1355 for more information.

Team Pictures

A team picture is included in the registration fee. The cost for any extra pictures ordered is the responsibility of the player.

The pictures will be taken on June 28 & 29th - times and location to be announced.

SPONSORS

Each year we depend on parents and coaches to help us in getting the team sponsors. If you know of any company or

individual that can sponsor a team please call Marianne Allen at 905-682-3068. The cost to sponsor a team is $300.00

Cheques can be post dated for April 15, 2011. There will be a $20.00 fee for NSF Cheques

There will be a $10.00 administration fee withheld from any refund if a player quits before June 10, 2011. The player/guardian

must request all refunds in writing by June 10th.

No Money will be refunded after June 10^th

NO PLAYER IS ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN A PRACTICE OR GAME UNLESS

SHE IS REGISTERED WITH THE LEAGUE FOR THE 2011 SEASON.

If you are interested in trying out for a Rep team, please call the appropriate coach if listed. If not listed print clearly on the back of your

registration card and submit to the Registrar. Try-Outs begin in January for some of the teams. If you know someone interested in

coaching one of the teams that does not have a coach, please contact Marianne Allen 905-682-3068.
